RJA #13b: Annotated Bibliography, Part 1

“Agriculture Today.” U.S. Department of Agriculture. United States: Web.

The first source I acquired was from the United States Department of Agriculture. I retrieved this source from the internet and as far as I know it is a highly credible source, taking into consideration that the source is from our own government and can be trusted. I utilized the United States Department of Agriculture website to find various facts and information about our own agriculture and how much consumption we consume as well as our production to be able to cite that information into my paper. There is no doubt about the credibility of this source due to the fact that it is sponsored, created, and organized by our own government, so it is safe to say that a source like this is credible based upon the tools and sources they use to create the website. It is also important to note that this site is updated on a regular basis so there is no problem about the accuracy of the information.
“Aquatic.” Evolution of Birds. University of Guelph, Web. 23 Nov 2009.
This is an interactive website that was very helpful to my research with their information and comparisons as well as visual aids describing the differences as well as similarities of birds and reptiles. This site was created by the University of Guelph which makes it a highly credible source. The site is regularly maintained and updated when needed with new events and information they find. This site is not only credible but it is also fun and easy to comprehend due to the fact that they explain facts in an easy and effective manner.

Congress. “Fish and Wildlife Organization.” Digest Resource of Federal Laws. Web. .

I used this website to obtain information about the endangered species act of 1973 and the credibility of this site is undeniable as noted before from my first source. This website was created, maintained and organized by the United States government which creates all of our federal laws as well as acts. The information I used from this website branched off into the fish and wildlife organization which is a prestigious organization by our government and can be trusted. It is apparent that this site is credible due to the fact that the information about the endangered species act of 1973 I used in my paper was in fact created by our own government, so the most reliable place for that information is of course from the creator themselves which is why this website is credible as well as accurate since it is updated on a regular basis.

Darwin, Charles. Origin Of Species. New York: Collier and Son, 1859. 475. Print.

The fundamentals of my paper relied tremendously upon this book written by Charles Darwin in 1859. I cannot but doubt the credibility of this source because the theories and facts as well as experiments I acquired from this book that were used in my paper to support my argument was created by the creator of the theories, Charles Darwin. Despite the fact that the book is written more than a century ago which could make it not up to date but the fact that it was written by the person who brought forth his ideas of natural selection and evolution is enough credibility for me. One cannot help but doubt the credibility of Charles Darwin as a person because of his renowned and recognized work all around the world. His theories of Natural selection and evolution have shaped our scientific world today so one cannot deny this source of credibility.
